Floating in space, the Ragnarok'due south trajectory happens upon the entwined couple of Squall and Rinoa who had become stranded in space due to the Lunar Base's destruction. The teenagers board the arts and crafts through the peak airlock and notice the send overrun with Propagators. They must defeat the Propagators of matching colors (yellow, purple, green and red) to impale them—if they impale the wrong colored Propagator, the Propagators will re-spawn throughout the transport.
Squall and Rinoa clear the ship of the monsters and enter the command cabin. They establish communications with Esthar Airbase in lieu of the radio interference lifting, and, with the Airbase's assistance, pilot the send back to the planet.
The ship becomes the holding of Squall's group and is instrumental in Rinoa'southward rescue from the Sorceress Memorial and in penetrating Lunatic Pandora's defenses. The Ragnarok mysteriously survives time compression, appearing set up to fly in the Kashkabald Desert with the members of the Carte Club within if Squall challenged their ranks earlier. It is unknown what happens to the Ragnarok after the political party defeats Ultimecia and the time pinch spell breaks, reverting the timeline to normal, as the party returns to the Balamb Garden.

The autopilot tin exist used in the largest map view while flying on the world map. The controls are the same equally for mobile Balamb Garden: to go forward, to go back, to land and to become within the cockpit. Directional buttons are used to steer and command altitude.
The Ragnarok is piloted by Selphie whenever she isn't in the player political party. If Selphie is unavailable, Ragnarok is piloted past Zell, and if both are in the role player party, Quistis takes the reins.
The player may run into a game-breaking issues where they lose admission to the Ragnarok past landing it as well close to a construction on the world map, tangling the airship with information technology and making information technology impossible to lath again.
